Reading is growing

All this year, in Sacred Thread, we have had the opportunity to work on a seed project in which we seek to encourage and promote reading, in addition to improving writing skills in children of different ages of the communityCircuekat through workshops and integrative activities, on Fridays and Saturdays. This project became a strengthening space for obvious failure within the Wayuú communities.

With the intention of encouraging and maintaining children's motivation towards education, reading and writing. And taking into account that in La Guajira children have to walk great distances to go to their school and that heat and land make these routes even more difficult we think that the best means of transport for them is a bicycle.

In Sacred Thread we want to improve the lives of all our Wayúu communities. For this and thanks to the help of Ferdinand Flackman and we all managed to donate 35 bicycles to the little ones.
